Why Your Child Should Wear A Mask!

P2 N95 KN95 FACIAL MASK RESPIRATORS

Commercially designed face masks that build a defence against airborne particulates and bacteria.

What are the benefits of a face mask?

In industry, a face mask is used to protect against dust particles and odours. In healthcare, a facial mask protects the user from blood spray and other contaminant airborne particles.

Is there a difference between a P2 N95 and KN95 mask?

The simple answer is no. Countries have safety requirements on how they grade masks. In the USA they use NIOSH for N95, China uses KN95 and in Europe and Australia, they use EC for P2.  95 means the mask is able to restrict 95% of airborne particles.

What is the CoronaVirus?

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person.

The virus is thought to spread mainly between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 2 metres) through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

CoronaVirus Symptoms

Runny nose
Sore throat
Cough
Fever
Pneumonia
Difficulty breathing (severe cases)

Protection Against the CoronaVirus

Clean your hands regularly with an alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
When you cough or sneeze cover your mouth.
Create a distance of 2 metres with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms.
Wear a face mask.

Disclaimer

Wearing a face mask does not guarantee that the wearer or any third party will not contract the COVID-19 virus. In some jurisdictions Health Authorities recommend the wearing of face masks in conjunction with other measures including but not limited to safe distancing and the use of hand sanitiser. It is generally believed that wearing a mask adds another layer of possible prevention.
